Background

PAC-Tri was founded in 2006 by a small group of runners, cyclists and swimmers who wanted to progress to Triathlon. We currently have around 90 members, mainly from the Portishead and Clevedon area. The club welcomes members from all walks of life, age, triathlon experience and ability. We hold a weekly schedule of training sessions covering the three disciplines. Sessions are designed to be fun while also helping members progress and achieve their personal goals  in a supportive atmosphere. We hold monthly club Tri  training races during the summer and Duathlons and more recently Aquathlons, over winter months.

Having fun and helping other members is the key ethos of our club, we never leave anyone behind!

We hold a monthly Triathlon for members to practice, and some friendly competition during the summer months using Portishead open air pool. We also have a monthly winter Duathlon to keep the cobwebs at bay.

Our Members

Our members vary widely in age, physique and triathlon experience from complete novices to International level, and  participate in events ranging from Sprint Tri to Ironman distance. As a relatively small club, we aim to foster a strong sense of camaraderie among members, and to make all members feel equally welcome and mutually supported in their training and racing. Unfortunately we are not able to accept members under the age of 18 at the moment, we are currently working on our youth policy, watch this space for news.
