The club was founded in 2006 to support local athletes with an interest in triathlon. Since then we’ve grown steadily in numbers. As a club, we support everyone from interested beginners through to GB Age Group participants and everyone in between!
We run a selection of regular and more seasonal training sessions for pool and open water swimming, cycling and running – along with the more specific ‘transition’ skills training unique to multisport. We have regular club training triathlons and duathlons that use our incredible and beautiful locale in both Clevedon (based in Marine Lake) and Portishead (based at the Lido).
Our coaching team has a wealth of skills and experience to cater for everyone that wants to develop their abilities and participation.
The club offers a wide variety of activities throughout the year and not all of them involve exercise!!!
We run group specific sessions for the more advanced swimmer and for the beginner, or those who want to just improve their technique. Sessions are held twice weekly and in the summer months, there are outdoor and open water sessions. There is a charge for these sessions to cover the cost of the pool and the coach.
Members do organise ad hoc events, these are normally posted on the club Facebook site and through the club email.
We have club rides every Saturday morning and these cater for all levels of cycling, those that just want a social ride with a cake and coffee stop, to those that want to just go for it! The specific type of groups is identified on the webpage and cost nothing to enter. We do ask that you have cycling insurance and you can come on three rides just to check them out but after that, you need to be a member to take part.
We run mid-week rides during the summer months, and run a club TT every year.

Takes place once a week with sessions on the track at Filton once a month. There is a small charge for the track events but all others are free.
We organise club triathlons through the Summer (May – October). We have a swimming pool event once a month and open water swim event once a month. These are sprint distance events so are great as part of your training programme. Through the winter we organise duathlons (running and cycling).

These have been a huge success with club members. We invite guest speakers to give insight into a whole range of topics. This can be about training methods, nutrition, fitness or their own personal experiences. After these exhausting sessions, there is nothing better to discuss the content over a curry!
